Melting is what is happening here. Glaciers hundreds, thousands of years old starting to slip away. It is quite a sight to see.
…and the wildlife is startling.
The power of water is awesome…
It’s such a water fest, endless streams of water seeming to come from nowhere.
Our chalets were right along the river. Been there since the Forties : )
…and we had some guests one morning. Unannounced, but quite entertaining.
…and at night it looks like this:
all in a day’s hike!
We were climbing quite far up by the Edith Cavel glacier area on September 18th, when we received some cool news from daughter, Jenna and her beau Ryan:
We were thrilled, what a gift to get in the middle of nowhere and with a rainbow too!!!
Stunning photos! Wow!
